Creating
eBooks is one of the easiest ways to make information products that you can do
at the comfort of your home. Anyone can create a book and rake in profit out of
it. You can either create your own offline rockstar review or just simply OUTSOURCING? (explained
later) it. Step 1 – Research Your Topic This is really the foundation of your
whole product.
If
the information going into it is incomplete… or wrong, you are going to have
dissatisfied and confused customers, just prior to asking for their money back.
Naturally, you can’t cover everything for a topic or your product would be so
huge that nobody would go through it, so it makes sense to cover the main and
most important points.
The
amount of research you have to do is considerable, especially if you know
nothing about the subject If you are going to research the topic, then you’re
going to have to make a checklist of all the items that you feel should be
covered in the product. Some of the biggest names on the Internet do NOT create
their own products. They don’t have the time. They simply outsource and spend
their time on the more important things such as marketing.
Why
is marketing more important? The offline rockstar review is just an asset. But an asset sitting
on a shelf doing nothing is a worthless asset. Your product is only as good to
you as the number of sales that you get from it. Step 2 – Write Your Outline
This is obviously going to vary depending on what you’re writing about.
Like
if I am creating a product on list building then I will outline: 1.
Introduction 2. Why To Do List Building 3. Tools needed to start building lists
like auto responders, trackers, squeeze page software (Detail everything) 4.
Traffic Generation Methods 5. Sales Funnel By having an outline to begin with,
the writing will be much smoother.
You’ll
have a clearly defined path to follow and all that remains is to follow it. You
may find along the way that you’ve left something out or want to delete something,
and that’s fine. This is a lot easier to do when you have a guide to follow.
Step 3 – Write the Content Yeah, I know… Many of you may scream at the point.
But guys this is not as hard as you think.
If
I, a 16 year old guy can do this then you can tooCan everybody write? No… and
if you’ve never written a dang thing before, you won’t find out until you try.
There is no magic formula to writing; however there are some steps that you can
follow that will make your writing easier. I use this method for writing
articles and you might find it very helpful. To make your own eBook guys, the
best thing you can do is read, read and read.
Here
it is…plain and simple. First? – Begin your chapter with a brief paragraph, of
what is that you’re going to be sharing with the reader, listener or viewer in
the chapter. If there are several points that you’re going to go over, list
each one. Second? – Write one paragraph for each of the 3 items.
Make
sure you cover each item in detail so that nothing is left out. When you’re
done with one item, move on to the next in the next paragraph. Third ?–
Summarize the key points of the chapter in one final paragraph and introduce
what’s going to come in the next chapter. And that’s it. It really is that
simple. Give the reader what he needs to know in order to do the job he needs
to do and then move on.
Now,
having said all that, the process for creating videos and audios is a little
different. Again, we’re not going to go into the technical details . of how to
create audio and video but simply point out some procedural steps that will
differ slightly. Proofread Your Product After you are done with the writing
proof read it. Trust me, you made mistakes. We all do.
It’s
best to hire somebody to proofread your work for you, but if this is your first
product and you can’t afford it, make sure you do the best job that you can do
on your own. Take your time. It is very difficult to proofread your own work.
Packaging You need to package your digital info product. Like you should have
cover, sales page and sales letter ready and all.
If
you check out just about any sales page for an info product, you will see
somewhere on the page what is called an ecover. Your offline rockstar review is more than just
the product itself. The packaging, your sales page, how you market it, all of
these things are critical to the success of your product. Leaving just one
thing out or cutting corners in just one area can reduce the effectiveness of
the product as a whole.
Marketing
After the product is complete, packaging and other stuff, including your sales
page, the final step is actually marketing your product or getting the word out
The greatest product in the world isn’t going to make one sale if nobody knows
about it. Conversely, a piece of garbage can sell millions if it’s hyped up
enough. I am sure you have purchased your fair share of these worthless items.
There are many ways and many strategies to go about marketing your product.
I am
going to cover these and go into a little more detail on some of the items in
this chapter in the ones to follow. Top 5 Tips 1. Define Your Audience Keep in
mind that writing is an art of communication. In order to be able to
communicate effectively, you need to know who your audience is. What are their
specific needs and preferences? What can you come up with to help them in their
business? 2.
Brainstorm
You can do this mentally, write it on paper or you can use a mind mapping tool
such as www.freemind.com, to help you get your creative juices flowing and plan
out your content outline. 3. Format Content For Readability People will
generally not have the patience to read an eBook with large chunks of text.
Instead
of filling it up with long paragraphs, try to break it down to smaller ones,
and include a lot of white spaces. Use images to drive home a point or
illustrate something especially if you are writing a step-by-step guide. You
want readers to consume information in a friendlier way.
